The 2024 AnatoBee Southern California Local, a cornerstone event for aspiring young anatomists, has recently concluded, marking another successful outreach initiative led by esteemed educators Dr. Yoojin Choi and Dr. Joy Y. Balta. This competitive event took place via a Zoom meeting, challenging high school students to showcase their proficiency in fields such as anatomy, embryology, histology, and diagnostic skills through an inventive, spelling-bee inspired format.
The best students at this event get a chance to win scholarships for special summer programs. These programs help them learn even more about science and maybe one day become doctors or scientists themselves.
