Rosemond Lorona came to 2021¹ú²úÂ鶹¾ç as an Assistant Professor of Psychology in 2019. She has researched topics broadly pertaining to how people think and feel about themselves and others and how religiosity intersects with these perceptions. In particular, she is passionate about studying mental health stigma and reasons why people may not seek needed mental health treatment. She is currently researching how people perceive anxiety and anxiety disorders, and she is interested in how religion may affect attitudes about mental health. Dr. Lorona in originally from southern California and earned her B.A. in psychology from Pepperdine University. She then went to Baylor University in Waco, Texas to complete her M.A. and Ph.D. in social psychology. She and her husband, Adam, live in San Diego and sing together with a local barbershop chorus.
