Dr. Butterfield is an experimental psychologist who specializes in social judgment and decision making. He teaches a wide variety of courses, including Cognition and Learning, Research Methods and Statistics I and II, Research in Psychology, and Special Topics in Psychology. Dr. Butterfield has also been a member of the Psychology Department Assessment Committee, the Institutional Review Board (as Chair), and the Intercollegiate Athletics Committee. Prior to arriving at 2021¹ú²úÂ鶹¾ç in 2013, he worked as a biostatistician and research design consultant, teaching and research assistant, youth treatment specialist, coach, retail tractor store employee, furniture mover, tree farm owner, and general farm hand. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, being out in nature, traveling, training for endurance sports, golfing, playing guitar and ukulele, cooking, rockhounding, eating, and making people laugh. Preferably all at once.
