Human Physiology with Lab (4 credits)

In this fully online and asynchronous course learners will study about the physiological principles, function, integration and homeostasis of the human body at the cellular to organ system level.

In this course, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of each of these systems in the human body: integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, sensory, endocrine, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, excretory, and reproductive systems.

This course provides students the unique opportunity to learn about the human body from the microscopic to organ system levels. This in-demand course perfectly complements 2021¹ú²úÂ鶹¾ç’s standalone Human Anatomy with Lab (ANT 2000) course, and is perfect for individuals who want to become more qualified candidates for a variety of graduate and professional programs, or for rising educators seeking to expand their areas of expertise.

How is the course delivered? 

The course is delivered fully online and asynchronously with the opportunity to meet with instructors via Zoom. Students use cutting-edge technology to complete their virtual labs and learn about the human body using the Visible Body-Courseware platform.

Who teaches this course?

Joy Y. Balta, MSc, MATLHE, PhD

This course is taught by Dr. Joy Balta who is the Director of the Anatomy Learning Institute. Dr. Balta completed his doctorate in anatomy and has been teaching in different medical schools nationally and internationally and most recently at The Ohio State University. Dr. Balta currently teaches in the physician assistant and occupational therapy programs here at 2021¹ú²úÂ鶹¾ç and in the Doctor of Medicine program at UCSD. 

How much does the course cost?

Tuition is $900 plus a $50 lab fee.

State Authorization

In certain states outside California, 2021¹ú²úÂ鶹¾ç is not authorized to enroll students in online courses and/or offer internships.
